# Tour the layout

Signal's layout changes with your screen size so navigation stays easy to reach on a laptop or a phone.

### Desktop (1024 pixels and wider)

A sidebar runs down the left side of the screen, expanded by default. It shows the Zephyr Intel wordmark, the full navigation menu with labels, and a footer with your account details, the theme toggle and **Sign out**.

### Tablet (768 to 1023 pixels)

The same sidebar is present but starts collapsed, showing icons only. Hover an icon to see its label as a tooltip.

### Phone (narrower than 768 pixels)

There is no sidebar. A top bar shows the Zephyr Intel mark, a theme icon and a sign-out icon. A row of tabs sits at the bottom of the screen for quick access to the most-used areas.

### Notes

* Some areas, such as Analytics, Products, Visit Planning and Org Admin, have no entry in the bottom tabs on phone. Reach them through in-page links or a direct link on your phone.
