# Why Aftermarket Activity can differ from the Last Spare Sale column

The asset table's **Last Spare Sale** column and the Quick View panel's **Aftermarket Activity** section both describe an asset's sales history, but they come from different sources and can disagree for the same asset.

### Why they differ

The **Last Spare Sale** column shows a date that Signal keeps in sync with your sales system on a regular schedule. It updates on that schedule and never moves backward or clears once set.

**Aftermarket Activity** in the Quick View panel shows only the spare-part sales it can match directly to that asset's serial number, from the sales data currently loaded in Signal. This is a stricter, more current check.

Because of this, an asset can show a date in the **Last Spare Sale** column while its Quick View panel says "No aftermarket activity". This is expected behavior, not an error.

### Where you see it

* Empire View table, **Last Spare Sale** column.
* Quick View panel, **Aftermarket Activity** section.

### Notes

* If your organization's sales data has not been connected, the Aftermarket Activity section shows "No aftermarket activity" for every asset, regardless of what the Last Spare Sale column shows.
