# Share a link to an asset

Share a link that opens directly to a specific asset, so a teammate does not have to search for it themselves.

### Steps

1. Open the asset's Quick View panel or its full detail page.
2. Copy the page's URL from your browser's address bar.
3. Send the link to your teammate.

### What happens when someone opens the link

* A link that opens the asset's Quick View panel from Empire View opens Empire View and shows that asset's Quick View panel automatically.
* A link to the asset's full detail page opens that page directly, with more complete information than the Quick View panel shows.

### Notes

* If the linked asset cannot be found, such as if it has been archived or removed, Signal shows a message that it could not open the asset.
