# Filters that arrive from other pages

Some links elsewhere in Signal, such as from a customer's page or from Analytics, open Empire View with filters already applied. This page explains what you see and how to clear them.

### What can arrive prefilled

A link from another page can set any of these on Empire View: customer, facility, brand, a list of serial numbers, or a filter for assets with no spare-part activity.

### What you see

* Filters for customer, brand and a list of serial numbers show as pills in the toolbar, the same as filters you set yourself.
* A facility filter does not show a pill. You can only tell it is active from the count on the **Filters** button.
* A filter for assets with no spare-part activity does not show a pill either.

### Steps to clear a prefilled filter

1. Click **Filters** to open the Filter Builder panel.
2. Click **Clear all** in the panel. This removes the filters and also clears the prefilled values that have no pill, such as facility.

### Notes

* The toolbar's own **Clear all** button also clears every filter, but it clears your search text and the Drafts/Archived toggle too. Use the Filter Builder's **Clear all** if you only want to remove filters.
