# Show, hide and reorder columns

Choose which columns appear in the asset table and the order they appear in. Use this to focus on the data you check most often.

> **Screenshot placeholder:** the Columns panel open, showing the checkbox list with **Serial Number (Required)** at the top and a drag handle on another row.

### Before you begin

This control is not available on a phone.

### Steps

1. Click **Columns** in the toolbar. The badge shows how many columns are visible out of the total.
2. Check or uncheck a column's box to show or hide it.
3. Drag a row by its handle, or use the up and down arrows that appear when you hover over a row, to reorder columns.
4. Click **Reset to default** to return to Signal's default columns and order.
5. Click outside the panel, or the X, to close it.
