# Documents overview

The Documentation hub holds every file connected to your install base: manuals, datasheets, drawings and certificates. Open it from **Documents** in the sidebar, or **Docs** on a phone. The page heading reads "Documentation".

### The two tabs

* **Documents** shows the document browser, the stats strip and the **Upload** button.
* **Model Manuals** shows manuals scoped to a brand and model. This tab hides the stats strip and the **Upload** button, since manuals go through their own upload form.

### The stats strip

The Documents tab shows three counts above the file list:

* The total number of documents, or "matching documents" when a search or type filter is active.
* The number of distinct document types in use. This is hidden when there are none.
* The number of documents uploaded in the last 24 hours. This is hidden when there are none.

### Notes

Type filters are drawn from the documents currently loaded in the browser, up to 1,000 at a time. If your organization has more documents than that, a type used only on older files may not appear as a filter pill until you narrow the list with a search.
