# Add an asset from a customer page

Register a piece of equipment at a specific facility without switching to Empire View first.

### Steps

1. On the customer's page, open the facility where the equipment is installed.
2. Under **Assets**, click **Add Asset**.
3. Complete the New Asset wizard. The customer and this facility are already filled in, so you do not need to look them up again.
4. Finish the wizard. The customer's page refreshes and the new asset appears in the facility's table.

### Notes

Use this entry point when you already know which customer and facility the equipment belongs to. It saves you from choosing them again inside the wizard.

If the facility you need is not listed yet, add it first, then come back and use its **Add Asset** button.
