# Add a facility or office

Add a new location under a customer, such as a plant, warehouse, or branch. Do this when a customer opens a new site or when you register one you had not tracked before.

### Steps

1. On the customer's page, click **Add Facility** (or **Add Office** for a distributor customer).
2. Enter a **Facility Name**. This is the only required field.
3. Optional: fill in the **Facility Address** fields.
4. Click **Add Facility**. The panel closes and the new location appears under the customer.

The panel title always reads **Add Facility**, even when you opened it from an **Add Office** button.

### Notes

The customer's own account type controls whether the button and section headings say "office" or "facility." Choosing the button does not change which panel opens or what it is titled.
