# Facilities, offices and assets

A facility is a location that belongs to a customer, such as a plant, a warehouse, or a branch office. Distributor customers call their locations offices; end user customers call them facilities. Each one can carry its own address, its own contacts, and the equipment installed there. Use this section to add locations, keep their details current, and find or register the assets tied to them.
