# Manage identity and status

These pages cover the actions that change how an asset is identified and tracked: its serial number and name, its operating status, whether it is archived, whether it has a duplicate, and which customer it belongs to. Account owners and service managers use these most often, when equipment is replaced, retired or moved between customers.
